Our Take
Zephyr has a natural, transparent sound, and excellent spatial positioning, making it a strong pick for listeners looking for an honest IEM that retains a great sense of musicality. . |
From Noble Audio
The Zephyr is Noble’s latest hybrid IEM. The idea behind the Zephyr is a return to the basics of three driver sound reproduction. While some IEMs supposedly have as many as 7 crossovers, the Zephyr just has 3 drivers with no electronic crossovers to interfere or create artifacts in your music. With a focus on the quality of each driver and not the quantity, the Zephyr features a proprietary 10mm DD for bass, and Sub-bass, a Knowles balanced armature driver specially made to reproduce mids and a specialized Knowles balanced armature driver for highs. The result is impactful sub-bass, non-overwhelming, yet satisfying bass, mids that are not drowned out by bass or highs, and clear yet non-fatiguing highs. As one reviewer has commented, the Zephyr is a “giant killer.”
The shell of the Zephyr is all aluminum with an aluminum/resin matrix faceplate. It features a semi-recessed 2 pin 0.78mm socket, and stainless wax guard. The cable is Noble’s highly regarded 8 Core OCC Copper cable.
